Nancy, Jim and Isaac joined the Millers on a trip in to the boundary waters in early June. Before heading in for a five-day/four-night stay, we headed almost a half mile underground as we toured the Soudan Mine, a now defunct iron mine in Soudan MN. Although the history of the mine is very interesting, it is also interesting to note that a physics lab is located at the bottom of the mine as well. We didn't get to tour it, but I'd go back just to see it. The people working in the lab today must use the same cable cars to travel to work each morning -- pretty weird.
