Had a great trip to South Dakota in early November. Clint, Steve and I went to Steve's in-laws land by Eureka SD. 90 % of the crops were still up so we had low expectations when we arrived, we even considered canceling. I arrived several hours before Clint and Steve and had my limit shot before the guys even arrived. That's when we knew we could still get birds with the crops in. Fortunately the Rau Family planted mainly beans this year which are easier to hunt around then corn.
We stayed at JJs hunting lodge a mile from the Rau's for 25 bucks a night. If the weather holds we will try to go back over Christmas break.
