Isaac and Jim finished the decade with some great ice fishing on Pool 6. We were going to head to South Dakota for some pheasant hunting, but they got hit with the blizzard we were supposed to get, so we decided to stay close to home. Our neighbor George marked a safe path with willow branches to Johnson Island which is a one mile walk from our house. Isaac and I were the first guys to fish out there this year, and we were rewarded with 38 nice sized sunnies in a couple of hours.
We started the new year celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary on January 2nd by attending a couple of Isaac's hockey games. Afterwards, we headed to our favorite restaurant in LaCrosse (The Freighthouse) and had king crab.
